Hair Highlights At Home
With
the constant changing fads, everyone wants to experiment to look
different. This maybe what one wants to do for themselves. Or, then
they want to do it for those around them. Yes, there are a number of
women of all ages, who go in for a complete makeover simply to bring a
change in the way they look for the one they love.
And some elder ladies do so, as their spouse
wants them to go through an image change. Well,
men facing their mid-life crisis are attracted to salons where they can
get that ‘younger look'. But then it does cost a lot. And this is what
deters many from going to a salon. That is just fine, because there is
the at-home option of hair highlighting for people of all ages, male
and female. It calls for a little effort, but it is not all that messy.
Is it difficult? No, hair highlights at home is not difficult. There
are the highlighting kits that are available in the market. Most people
then wonder how can they get perfect and uniform highlights all over
the hair.
At this point one needs to be aware of the various highlighting
methods. There is the method wherein one uses the foil to cover each
patch of hair colored in order to ensure the color does not blend into
the rest of the hair. This is a rather difficult method, unless one has
someone to help him or her out. And if one does have a friend or family
member who is ready to help them then here is the method: Basically one
has to divide the hair into four to five sections, using clips.
Then they have to work through each section, using a a fine tail comb
to pluck out sections that need to be highlighted. The method used for
picking out the hair is like weaving through the hair. Then each woven
section needs to be covered with the hair color and then wrapped in a
foil. The use of foil is also to provide heat for the color to develop.
However, a simpler method is to use the highlight rubber cap,
which has holes in it. All one needs to do is use a crochet needle
(some kits also provide this needle) and pluck out hair through the
holes. At the end of this process one has to apply the color, then
cover their head with a sheet of foil and leave it for the color to
develop according to the instructions provided.
